The potential of marine fish resources in Jepara Regency is quite abundant so that the production of fish catches reaches 10,867 tons in 2016. Economical marine fish resources such as crabs have in fact changed the location of the catchment area in Jepara Regency. The management of potential crabs that needs to be done is to take an inventory of the locations where crabs usually gather. Determination of the location can be assisted by using the Global Position System (GPS). The use of GPS can be a guide for fishermen to determine when and where to catch crabs. This is because fishermen often come to only one fishing ground area and end up getting no results. Therefore, it is necessary to know the map of the location of crab catching by providing training on the use of GPS as a determination of the location of the fishing ground. This service activity was carried out in Teluk Awur Village, Jepara Regency for fishermen there, while still following the health protocol, all fishermen are required to wear masks to prevent transmission of C-19. The material for using GPS that is taught to fishermen is in the form of GPS modules and tools as a result of Appropriate Technology (TTG). In this service activity, the community is very enthusiastic in participating in training on the use of GPS which in the future will be very effective for fishermen in increasing crab catches. In addition, this activity increases the knowledge of residents in recognizing one of the technologies in the field of fisheries and marine to increase the catch of crabs in the waters of Jepara Regency.
