A proud achievement was made by a student of Diponegoro University as Surya Adi Putra Pratama, an Oceanography student from the class of 2022 and an active member of UKM-F REGISTER, was selected as one of the delegates to present his scientific work at The 46th Asian Conference on Remote Sensing (ACRS) 2025. The prestigious international conference was held in Makassar, Indonesia, from 27–31 October 2025.
Organized by the Indonesian Society of Remote Sensing (ISRS/MAPIN) in collaboration with the Asian Association on Remote Sensing (AARS), ACRS 2025 carried the theme “Harnessing Remote Sensing for Global Sustainability, Resilience and Technology Innovation.” This forum serves as a strategic platform for researchers worldwide to exchange innovations and strengthen global collaboration in the field of remote sensing.
During the conference, Surya presented his research titled “Study of Sediment Land Elevation Dynamics Using Airborne LiDAR in the Ajkwa Estuary, Mimika, Papua, Indonesia.” His study examines elevation changes in sediment caused by natural sedimentation processes and human activities, utilizing high-resolution Airborne LiDAR data.
All papers presented at the conference will be published in the ISRS/MAPIN e-Proceedings and submitted for indexing in Scopus and Web of Science, providing international exposure for research conducted by UNDIP students.
Surya’s participation highlights UNDIP’s ability to compete at a global level and reinforces the role of REGISTER as an active, innovative student research community within the university.
